Wavemaker or Gyre selection for AquaReef 400

Postby MrNewSaltwater » Wed 22 Aug, 2018 12:19 pm

Hi,
I have an Aqua One Aqua Reef S2 400L and was after some advice on flow. I was thinking of 2x Coral Box QP 16 but then I saw the Jebao Crossflow CP40. My question is what do you recommend in terms of set up for flow? Not looking at expensive pumps at this point in time. Tank is 1200mm long.

Thanks in advance.

I opted for 2 x Coral Box QP-16 (up to 16000LPH) hopefully this is not overkill.

Any thoughts?

Really depends what stock you intend keeping.
I dont think you can ever have too much flow!

These pumps are adjustable in any case. Set them up and dial them into a speed that suits you

Thanks for the advice. I was eventually hoping to have a mixed reef. But for now it will be softies and LPS.
