Tank is 1cm bigger than stand

Postby Trace » Mon 09 Jul, 2018 2:37 pm

Due to my incompetence, I’ve discovered my new tank is 1cm wider than the solid timber table it’s going on.

I assume that this is not a good thing and could cause issues down the track? Tank is 165l.

What options are there about supporting it? Do I just put a bigger piece of something under the tank to support it? Do I also need polystyrene as well?

Thanks in advance.

I would just put a piece of ply the correct size, say 16mm thick, on top. And yes, you should use some polystyrene on top of that.
