Seawater questions

Postby Trace » Sun 08 Jul, 2018 4:30 pm

Two questions that weren’t relevant when I lived on the Central Coast near NSW. I did Search but could not find any relevant answers.

Background:

I live in Bathurst, nowhere near NSW deliveries, but could drive over the mountains with an IBC on a trailer. Temps get down to -7. IBC would be in the shed.

1. Does seawater degrade over time, how long can it be stored?

2. Do minus temps affect quality?

The reason I’m looking at NSW options is that we’re in drought, the local water supply is dropping rapidly and the quality of the tap water can sometimes be dodgy.

Thanks in advance.

You can store it as long as you like. and temps won't make a difference. Plenty of people have done the same your side of the mountains over the years.
