yep works here:}
didn't think it was hanging from canopy :{
looking for ways to hang without hanging from ceiling or canopy.

Thanks for pointing that out! I'll have to work that out when I update my tank. Hoods are great for hanging lights, but you lose the top down view. I've seen some DIY curved metal arms that attached to the back of the cabinet. They will work well with this.

Something like what you have and the Cade Luxurty Light Stand ($120) would work. I have the stand on my 4’ freshwater, very stable and looks good. Does require either some holes drilled into the back of your cabinet to attach the stand, or making up some brackets.
