Radion RX15 Pro Power cord

Postby Slartibartfast » Tue 05 Jun, 2018 5:29 pm

I got home the other night to a light flashing on and off the whole time, well more off with a flashing on every few seconds. The best I could come up with searching the web is that my power cord(adaptor) may be faulty. Easy enough I thought, get some cheap replacement to check but it turns out I was wrong! First off I had a similar voltages adaptor but it seems the original has a special fitting going into the light as the one I had did not fit. Finding a brand replacement online also seems a dead end unless you buy it from the USA. Only problem it is a mere $75 for a replacement cord and cheapest postage adds another $68 to the bill...bit steep for something which may or may not fix my light problem. So the question, anyone know where I can get a replacement in Australia...or even better, anyone with a spare cord that is just in their way?

Aqua Blue Distributions should be able to help you out if you purchased the light from an Australian LFS.

How about checking the voltage and current it's putting out with a multimeter.

Quick update, took the light to my LFS and they tested the light with a new cord and it ruled out a faulty cord! Light now off to be tested as next in line can be the fan (unlikely as the 'symptoms' do not fit) or faulty motherboard. Hopefully the issue can be identified and fixed...
