2'x2' SPS system

Postby Haydn24 » Wed 30 May, 2018 6:34 pm

Gday guys, I've been out of the hobby for a good 5 or 6 years but am glad to be diving back in with this small but rewarding reef tank.

Tank: 600Lx600Wx450H (150L)
Sump: 600Lx350Wx350H
Ecotech Radion XR15W Gen 4 LED lighting
Bubble Magus curve 5 skimmer
Jebao 5000L return pump and 10000L wave maker
Arctic chiller
150W heater

Randy dosing Alk, Ca, Mg (by hand for now) with Reef Anabolics supplement added

I'll cut straight to the build and then some current photos of the tank. Tank was filled 15/4/18.

Dry tank as bought (2nd hand)

SPS seem to be colouring up and doing well

I am battling some light cyano on the rocks but I am just manually removing and letting the new tank run its course. Carbon dosing with RS NO3PO4-X may not be helping but thats the system I want to run from the start.

Any questions from the build or the tank currently, feel free to ask.

Thats all for now.

Cheeers
