MP20 Added

Postby ericfloey » Tue 22 Dec, 2009 9:58 pm

Image

Got my MP20 a week ago.
Setup is easy. It can be done in 5 minutes.

This little toy is not silent as everyone said, but it is totally acceptable. I can't hear any noise unless I put my ear next to the dry side.

syphon setup

Postby ericfloey » Wed 23 Dec, 2009 9:52 pm

BioCube has standard weir standpipe , how I solve the noisy problem from the weir without drilling another hole for syphon?

I put a gravel cleaner from the weir all the way to the sump. This cleaner hose becomes my syphon pipe.

Here is my new toy. Phosban reactor. Thanks Ben from AOA gave me a well price on this reactor.
I'm having around 0.06ppm PO4. Let see what happen next week. It's currently running with Phosban.

It will be eventually running NP Bio pellet. Just waiting for the pellet to ship to Sydney. So, stay tune if you want to see the result of Bio pellets.

Thanks Anthony brought his PAR meter to test my Maxspect LED 160W.

The value is amazing. It's about 520 at about 15cm and around 180 at 40cm.

Yep, I was very impressed by this Maxspect fixture. For starters it's so small and very low profile! The colour is excellent too, not too white and not too blue, just about spot on I reckon. And those two big 30W LEDs create a good solid shimmer effect. If I was to get a new LED fixture, it'll definitely be one of these.

And that 180-220 reading was down at the front of the tank just above the Elegance, not directly below the light. Up on the rockwork where the SPS frags are it ranged from 330-430 up to the mid 500's as we moved the sensor around at different spots.

Tank's looking good, Eric!

The readings were certainly way up there with a daylight 250W MH, and not even a fraction of the heat. And your corals seemed to be liking it a lot too.

And quiet too. I just realised I didn't even notice any sound! So it's quieter than the Baiseng models and certainly much quieter than the LumenAqua.
