cleaner wrasse

Postby terbit » Mon 19 Nov, 2007 8:31 pm

Just added what should be my last fish to the system a small cleaner wrasse it's funny to watch the other fish pull up midstream for him to have a go at them.
PS:can anyone give me any hints as to why when I take a picture of full tank it looks yellow but when I am close up it comes out the normal colour of tank? Also I might have to see if any-one is interseted in the odonus trigger as he is starting to get a bit aggresive towards the other fish in the tank.
FTS looking yellow yet again

exploding halide

Postby terbit » Sat 24 Nov, 2007 8:44 am

Thanks Spides and Tony
Has any-one else had a halide globe explode ?
On Wed night I had one explode,I was in the back of the house and heard it go off.Nearly SH#* myself I thought the tank had exploded.
On Thur pulled the unit down to replace the globe only to find the end had welded to the holder went to electrical wholesalers to get a replacement holder only to be asked what is it?
I ended up having to strip down a shop fitter and modifying the pendant to suit it what a p#*#k of a job.

IMO, the yellow tinge was the glare from the camera's flash that reflected off your wooden cabinets.

Try photographing without the flash on.

Tank update

Postby terbit » Sun 06 Jul, 2008 4:47 pm

Not much has changed with the tank I put in some 20k sylvania coral arc halide globes about a month ago.I like the colour of these globes more than the 20k ones I got from a supplier on these forums.
Also got rid of 1 anemone that wouldn't settle in 1 spot kept finding powerheads. Here is current FTS

trigger

Postby terbit » Sun 06 Jul, 2008 6:48 pm

The Trigger hasn't touched any of the corals,He's been in the tank for about 4years. Can't say the same about the Majestic though!

Does your comet grouper get its fair share at feeding time? Mine is really shy.

Thanks roop

cja mate the red tooth doesn't nip at any corals the Majestic on the other hand nips at nearly everything, If I could catch it he would be for sale in the classifieds.

Funkngroovy the comet is really shy but he still gets his fair share usually takes a full block of marine green and what ever else goes in the tank.
