Our 6x2x2 Water World

Introduction:
Hello everyone this will be a new era in marine tanks for me, I'm hoping this one works out nice and easy and everything runs smooth in the transfer from one tank to another. My old 4 foot tank is still running but will slowly be phased out with what’s in there going into my new (2ndhand) 6x2x2foot tank.
I'm hoping for a great pleasing to the eye tank like so many other tanks on the forum.

With all the info and help from everyone here :bow: :bow: :bow: I'm sure the new tank will be a pleasure for My Wife My Kids and Myself to have and look after :thumbsup:

System Objectives: What is the end result going to be? Hopefully a nice looking tank :roflmao:

System Type: Mixed Reef

Display System:

Strike up Date: Stand started September tank arrived Early August

Display Tank: 6x2x2 foot Calfo (Beananimal/Scooby) overflow :laugh:

Display Lighting: 3 KR92-24B Marine LED Lighting System

Stand: Front of tank on an existing quarter wall, rest DIY behind the wall

Hood: None hopefully.

Sump: 4Ft sump divided into 3 compartments

Refugium: TBC

Refugium Lighting: TBC


Support systems:

System Water: Natural salt water or artificial salt water Both maybe??

Display Water circulation: The Gyre system using two Panworld ps150's

Return Pump: Pentair Quietone 6000.

Skimmer: Modded Octopus Hurricane 1500 : DNW-200

Evaporation Top Up:Auto topup


Chemical Support:

Calcium Addition: Marine Sources calcium reactor

Alkilinity Addition: If not calcium reactor

Other Chemical Maintenance: Magnesium etc

Current Water Chemistry: If applicable
Nitrates: N/A
Phosphates: N/A
Alkalinity: N/A
Calcium: N/A
Salinity / Specific Gravity: N/A
Magnesuim: N/A

Cabinet and Hood: Both Home made
Skimmer: ASM G2
Return pump: sun sun 3900 with a scwd to either side of the tank
Circulation: 2x seio 820
Lighting: 4 x Diy T5 54watt Fluros 1atinic 3 white, soon to change the tubes to a combination of
2x 54w KorallenZucht (Coral Light) Fiji Purple (a blue/purple bulb)
2x 54w Giesemann Pure Actinic (actinic bulb)
3x 54w KorallenZucht Coral Light (white+red bulb).

1x Bi colour angel
1x Pacific Sail Fin

PS I need to get rid of maybe 3 of the leather corals if any one is interested they are all frags or cuttings of my rather large one I had, I have a few more popping up in the tank now thats why I wish to sell off some of the larger ones, make more room for new corals :wink2 :wink2 :wink2

Yes it is new i'm trying top keep this one alive, it is going well at present, just slowly increasing my Cal levels, hopefully this helps Did you see the nice blue one they had at Aggies the same time, very nice good size to.

Mate i think the seios are great i got them second hand $15 each, no noise and i love the way the water comes out fanned not a direct stream. From what i can gather much like the tunze (not sure never owned one) I purchased the sure grip magnetic holders for them as the suckers were stuffed.

Mate your tank looks pretty sweet. Love the tangs and the bannerfish. Our local pub has FOWLR (massive tank) and the have a bannerfish. They look impressive once they have some size on em

Had a couple of minor leaks from screw fittings not done up enough, so refitted with some more plumbers tape and all sweet now. "I HOPE"

My aqua scaping was finished by my wife on Monday.
The fish were moved to there new home This week, All good so far.
