System Type: SPS,Mixed

Display System:

Strike up Date:30-1-2010
Display Tank:4x2x2 Center Weir 27-1-12
Display Lighting: 2x250watt Phoneix 4x54watt 2-blue special 1- Pro Purple 1- Actinic
Stand:930mm high door on right hand side now 2pac white 800mm high :thumbsup:
Sump:3x1.5x1.5
Refugium: Yes
Refugium Lighting: 2x24watt t8 white and blue

Support systems:

System Water: Dulpa artificial salt water
Display Water circulation: 2x Vortex MP40w
Return Pump: Eheim 1260
Skimmer: Reef Octopus Vortex 2000
Evaporation Top Up:
Dosing Pump - Ca,Kh,Mg,K,Fe,I and trace elements
Current Water Chemistry:
Nitrates:0 to.75 ppm
Phosphates:0.1 to 0.5 ppm
Alkalinity:9.8 ppm
Calcium:418 ppm
Salinity / Specific Gravity:1.025 to 1.026

Is it just me or does the second photo look like 2 bums in the raw timber

Yeah i don't no what return pump im going 2 use yet think im limited 2 5000L cause im using 25mm Pipe?
Skimmer maybe my hurricane 500L but would like 2 go bigger now i will have a bit more room under the tank. and water movers couple of vortex or tunze or any another suggestions ??? any help or input would be nice thanks for viewing my tank journal

pick out a new protein skimmer 2day the Octopus Core + Pentair 1500i should do the job abit better than the hurricane 500 i hope and going 2 pick up 2 resun wave makers 15000 $170 each in the next couple im 2 cheap 2 buy a vortex's $600 each

You could go as low as 2400lts IMO.

just a digital temperature gauge that controls the chiller and heater so only 1 thing is running at once $80 Image good idea Blaz!!!:)

Nice looking start! I've just got the same skimmer, haven't got it wet yet but here's hoping it's a good one!

Where did you get the nifty digital thermometer? How do you wire it up to control heating and the chiller?

see the 2 double power points on the right of it it just switch's from 1 to the other .....1 will b running 2 heaters and the other will be running the chiller and pump

yea it is all wired up ready 2 go just waiting on some stuff from hong kong and marine plus..............and my new house 2 finish getting built... there laying bricks now as we speak so probably 2-4months
