Introduction:
I have a 2ft tank that's SPS dominated and TOTM August 2009. But, I have planned this tank for ages and it's about time I do something about it.

System Objectives:
This is my ultimate tank and everything is going to be done right and to be automated as much as possible. All I want to do is to chill out after work relax infront of my mini reef.

DIY LED Light for sump

Stand:
D.I.Y 900mm x 900mm x 900mm

Hood:
No hood as it is an open top tank

Sump:
I will be using my old sump once the old tank is decomissioned.

Support systems:

System Water:
Natural salt water

Display Water circulation:
2 x Vortech MP40W

Return Pump:
3000L return pump

Skimmer:
Current Skimmer is Bubble Magus Cone Skimmer 180CS

Nopes, just metal halide. I'm keeping my eyes out on all the LED threads to see if they really work in 3-6months :)

Stand is almost a 90cm cube. Looks like I may have to take out a leg to get it through the door. Then build it inside the house.

Windows is smaller than the door. LOL

hehe, that's something I'd do. I feel better now. I almost bought a tank a few months ago, measured the house wrong and luckily figured it out right before I bought something bigger than all windows and doors.

This is going to be great, love the dimensions.

Great dimensions you've picked, almost identical to what I'm about to have built :) if your current system is any reliable indicator, it should be a pretty damn nice result when it comes together!

Long live the "shallow cubes"!
