Hey all
I have an aqua one 160l tank, 3 foot wide.
I bought my first wave maker, a mp10, for it.
The weir or over flow down to the sump is in the left hand corner of the tank.
Where should the wave maker go?
Do you put it the same side as the weir? Or do you put it the opposite side?

I have the same tank ,my return comes in at one end and is fed across the back of the tank to the other corner,
I also have a powerhead situated on the back of the tank ,in the middle toards the top facing forward ,seems to give enough flow,no dead spots

Put it where you get the best flow in the tank. This will also depend on your rockwork. I usually put my wavemaker where it can push along the length of the tank so it also gets the surface stirred up.

Also consider the required water movement rates of your corals (if any). Corals like acro require strong current and strong lighting so many aquarists tend to put corals like those high up closer to the light source and have their pumps/wave makers pushing strongest across the top part of the tank.
