Illumagic Mounts

I've just picked up an Illumagic Blaze M90 for my new tank I am putting together. Was hoping you could give some advice on mounting the lights.

I have taken a few pics to help explain my question.

My tank is braced as shown in the first pics.




Obviously this doesn't allow the standard mounts to work,



Now to my question(s). Is this what the euro brace mount is for? Given the brace doesn't go the whole length of the side of the tank, would it be strong enough to support the lights if the euro brace mount is the correct method?

I'm still a few weeks away from wetting the tank so I have time to sort this out.

Hey mate, i believe we spoke about this via email but for everyone else with a similar situation the only thing you can do is simply remove that rim from the side o the glass. It's quite easy with a razor, of course if you don't want to do this then a hanging kit going vertically is one option or to hang it via ceiling or wall mounts.

Thanks for helping sort the issue. Really was appreciated.

I've been advised that using fishing line is a better method of removing the lid mount, so they will be coming off this week. Can't wait to give the lights a run.
