Good to see you back in the game Marty, I've also stocking mine again after a bit of time off.

The fish list is nearly complete and I'm waiting on my last few fish then ill stock it full of SPS. I will frag them as i get them and put together some frags for you.

You guys are too nice! I hate freeloading, so ill get a few nice colonies from Hunter Pets so I have something to trade. Clayton, I still have 80% of the frags from 6 months ago and the pink lemonade is starting to colour up again.

Need to add a bit more base rock to fill out the tank more, but will be staying with a low lying profile/open scape. No rock wall this time around. I am keen to get a few schooling fish, maybe some anthias.

Skimmer is running nicely and producing a nice foam, plus its running quieter than I can remember so I can run it 24/7 (lounge room tank). Only thing left to do is setup up 2 more 54W tubes and get my ATO working. Plus set the aquascape, which is going to be tricky as most of the LR has encrusted sps on it.

Thanks for the offer mate, I ended up getting a 4x54w DE lighting rig off another reefer. Along with my old 2x54w gear. Good luck with your new house!

Set up a basic scape for now, now for some large acros. Also picked up a light blue stag.

Have been collecting some SPS over the last few months, with more frags to come shortly. Thought id do something completely different and give NEO ZEO a go. I am 3 weeks in and seeing its effects on SPS tissue. Just running the stones in a DIY chamber, Bacter7 and Bio-Fuel for now. Not going to get too carried away with it.

Camera shots looked terrible so I took a video instead. Have started zeovit big 4 and a passive zeo reactor, starting to get some colour changes, lost a couple of frags to rtn though which was a shame, tank is running at 26-27 degrees.

I have changed lighting to 8 x 54W T5 as I wasnt happy with the LED's. I built the light back in 2009 using only Cree Royal Blues and Coolwhites, so it was lacking in certain wavelengths.

I am still using a DIY passive reactor, but this will change soon to a DIY flow through at 400lph, with carbon.

Checked PO4 the other day and got 0.03 on hanna, only got one more reagent sachet left!

Here is some side pics, sps still lacking in vibrant colouration, but improving every day. Hopefully the T5's will help.

my new ZEOvit "shake" reactor, can hold 1.5L of stones (currently about 800mL), with 400lph, shaken daily.

Yeah, made it the other day, cost about $8. Its just 90mm PVC with screw cap fittings. 2 x 10mm 90deg hose fitting epoxyed on and some 10mm tube. The outlet is at the bottom of the end-cap, unlike the inlet which is in the centre.

Seems to work OK as you can see the mulm/crud coming down the outlet tube after shaking.

Tanks looking good. Quick question, I noticed you said you where running 800ml of stones with 400lph flow, shouldn't it be 1l for your tank size?

Yep, should be 1L. Coming up to my 3rd stone change, will use 1L. Didnt want to go too hard too soon.

Lost a few sps lately. Heater was struggling to keep up and I saw tank hit 22.5 degrees on a few occasion (early morning) Thought it would be OK, but no. Quite a few brown corals :(

Going to keep it KISS for a while top make sure something else isnt wrong. Halved zeovit and rolled back to original lighting. Switching to Halides seems to have burned a lot of my corals :( I was enjoying the extra growth.

Made a new sump out of some old acrlyic found at work and some square conduit from bunnings. Hoping to commission it soon, so far 72hours leak free.

pretty basic: socks/skimmer, rock rubble/algae, media bags, return.
