Edi's 1200x750x470 Sunlit tank - Updated 16/06/2016

Introduction:
It is time to move on from my 3ftx3ftx47cm tank and start a new journey.

System Objectives:
This is my ultimate tank and everything is going to be done right and to be automated as much as possible. Grow everything from frags. All I want to do is to chill out after work relax infront of my mini reef.

System Type:
Mainly SPS and some mix of other corals

Display System:

1/02/15

1200mm x 750mm x 470mm (LxBxH)

Display Lighting:
Main lights will be solar tubes with Radion LED supplements

Stand:
D.I.Y

Hood:
No hood as it is an open top tank

Sump:
2 x 2ft tanks with multiple compartiments

Support systems:

System Water:
Natural salt water

Display Water circulation:
Jebao WP40 x 2

Return Pump:
Jebao DTC 6000

Skimmer:
RLSS R10-U Protein Skimmer

Evaporation Top Up:
Smart ATO system

Chemical Support:

Calcium and Alkilinity Addition:
Auto top up

Other Chemical Maintenance:
Auto Top up

Current Water Chemistry: TBA
Nitrates: .0
Phosphates: 0.03
Alkalinity: 8-9dHk
Calcium: 450ppm
Salinity / Specific Gravity: 0.26

I might go hybrid on this tank. Trying something new. Zeo dosing with bio-pellets.

I really can't wait to get this baby going. I been looking at the sun hitting my man cave all day long. So much light, be a shame not to utilise it. :)

Nice Edi. Will be visiting your awesome tank builder to give back something that they need to get your tank delivered. Can't wait to see how the solar tubes will look like when it's set up.

There's just so much sunlight hitting my man cave. Be a shame not to utilise this natural resource. DOn't mind the kiddy fence. That's keeping the wife and kids out. :roflmao: :roflmao:
