Introduction: Hi there all .... This is my first attempt at a journal ... for those that met me at the Nov frag meeting will remember that I'm a full on ATS fan .... so far so good ... :thumbsup:
New to reef keeping after many a years fresh tropical ... (never go back to that again)
This will be my second system due to a move from Tasmania to Victoria ... All corals was brought over and kept in a damaged 5 footer that could only be filled less than half way :wall:

System Objectives: Set up a healthy, happy system that does not take over most of my life .... as if ...

System Type: LPS and softies

Strike up Date: 19 Dec 2012

Display Tank: 6x2x2ft
Display Lighting: 8 x 54w T5s

Stand: DIY 1m high Black stained pine with zinc doors

Hood: none ATM still in planning

Sump: 4x2x1.8 just algae scrubber
Sump Lighting: 5 x CFL Spiral Light Bulbs

Support systems:

System Water: ASW

Display Water circulation: Just water return from sump

Return Pump: Waveline 10000 connected to SCWD and a HJ-5000
Skimmer: None

Evaporation Top Up: Guppys Auto Top Off System 2M

Chemical Support:

Calcium Addition: Damprid ... (no need yet)

Alkilinity Addition: Bi-carb (no need yet)

Other Chemical Maintenance:
Amino Acid LFS

Current Water Chemistry:
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite : 0
Nitrates: 0
Phosphates: 0.02
Alkalinity: 8.2
Calcium: 480
Salinity / Specific Gravity: 1.025
Magnesium: 990

Filled with some base rock and black gravel

Month later and ATS full motion

Great start to the tj with your build! I'm contemplating building a 6x2x2 stand so was great to see it come together.
