Hey Dave,

I know how to get there but how do I get so that the link says "THE REEFBOX" instead of showing the an actual link.

Cheers

Sweet stand and like the structure you've made. What kind of rock is it?

Thanks mate, the rock are from 'Macro Rocks' from the states I think but you can order them through Reef Direct... They are awesome, comes in heaps of nice shapes and they are very porous so attaching frags onto them is less of a mission.

luzinit wrote:Nice Anthony. Seems like you never ended up setting up Daryn's old tank either...

Hey Tony, no I didn't end up setting up Daryn's tank... It was a nice tank but I had an opportunity to go bigger and wanted a few other customisations to the tank, so had had to start fresh... Only took a year or so to get to where I am now hahaha

axela wrote:Beautiful stand and awesome looking rock!

Hi Axela, yes the finish on the panels are 2pac Poly on White Satin MDF Board

Thanks Dave, wait till you see the tank

Thanks Jamie, I've been taking my time on this build and trying to get it as perfect as possible... Hopefully the quality can be as high as your build.

Tanks for looking and happy reefing!

Finally the tank is at its final position! I managed to give the tank a good clean and polish tonight and make it photo worthy... The tank consist of 3 sides and euro brace in starfire and polished edges... I also had the back panel painted black (Kitchen Splash Back Finish) to cover up the external weir plumbing work, I went for this option as this will make life so much easier when when I'll have to start scraping the algae off the back panel and also the fact that it will be more resistant to scratches this way as I hate the look of a scratched up acrylic panel... Also a big thanks to Dave from Extreme Reef, Thanks to his patients with my countless questions and emails and his craftsmanship, my plans are coming to life! We've made, job well done! Anyway here are some images... More to come as the comes to life.

Awesome stuff mate, looking great so far! Can't wait to get my tank from Dave, very similar to yours.

Is the stand timber or steel frame? Any pics with the doors open and how you fixed the cladding to the structure?

Hi all my cladding is glued onto a steel frame, as you can see the panel around the doors are quite small so the glue holds everything on there with no problems... If you have big panels just buy some littles 'L' brackets from bunnings and attached them to panels and steel frame and the doors are just hold on with hinges nothing special at all... By the way your build is looking pretty sweet as well, yea Dave makes a mean tank and very nice guy to deal with... Cheers
