Nice Ben  any idea what gear you're looking at?

Going for tried and tested mate. ATI T5 lights and BK for skimmer.

Here are a few bad pics. It's in the garage so the light is terrible. I'll take some better ones once it comes inside.

Stand made by a fellow MASQ member and all round good bloke. Made from 40x40 and powder coated in Graphite Ripple.

Next to do are all the odd jobs in order to get it filled. Paint and fit ply base and back, fit acrylic weir cover, vinyl for back etc etc etc

Cheers,
Ben

Tank and stand now in the house.

Spent this evening doing a little plumbing and fitting up doors etc. Going to get acrylic to cover the weir tomorrow if all goes to plan.

Just waiting on lights and skimmer to arrive to finish it off.....might even fill it for the weekend and just run old gear.

Ha Ha! Because the tank is visible from 3 sides, I didn't want it in a corner, but nor did I want it smack in the middle as it affects aquascaping opportunities. I've got in mind to build a taller structure on the LHS near the weir and a then a low structure on the LHS where there is more space. The weir should have been further to the right, but no biggie.

Another ATI and BK winner, can't wait

I'm told that's what all the cool kids have got :poke:. I feel like it's a bit old school to be going to T5's. :crossfingers: I went ok on bulb choice too.

Looking good mate. Just wondering if you can post some pics of the cabinet with doors open, and how you fixed them to the stand. I need to clad my stand shortly and not 100% on the best way to attach everything.

Yeah, it's a shame that it's going to get locked away under the stand...

. About $850 mate all up, insured, landed, currency converted etc etc

Here you go....nothing exciting sorry as they are held on with velcro. Works perfectly in this case as the doors sit on a lip and the velcro just stops them from falling forward as opposed to holding them vertically. My last stand used magnet catches, but they rusted quickly.

Thanks all for looking.

PS - I heard yesterday that my lights are in a truck on the way from WA

Nice stand, very sleek. I was just about to use magnets to hold my walls on, not going to do that now.
I find velcro quite exciting btw, simple things simple minds I guess.

A coated magnet would be fine, but I dont have an easy way of fixing them. I've been pretty pedantic about minimising any holes in the metal work to avoid rust.

 Thanks Russ. You and me both mate.

The stand was built by a talented mate of mine who also happens to be into reefing.

Thanks guys.

Filled it up on the weekend and using my LED's as temporary lighting. Stuff is thrown in a little haphazardly and excuse the heater sitting in the corner

Aquascape is maybe a little low for the tank, but figure with some corals it will come up a bit.
