Well the pony tank is no longer a pony tank, the house mate saw a little mungral misbarred clown, at work and felt sorry for him, and took him home, before i knew it there was a nem for the clown and then bigger female clown so it now just going to end up being a mini little reef

bit of a update and some long awaited pics, after about 9 days of long days at work followed by evenings of either tank instals or maintenance work on other peoples tanks and me having a timmer sitting on my lights rather than plugged in to my lights my tank is now starting to look like a ADA planted tank!!!
but is undergoing a mowing of the grass and starting to look ok again
pics up in a few minutes

Nice looking specimen, reminds me of an embroidered pillow (ok, so maybe I lost the plot but can never say I have no imagination :-) ).

cheers billy, it is just 5mm coral sand, more like gravel than sand) but i like it is easy to syphone with out ending up with a bucket of sand

it is just some sort of marco, but it is dying off, cos the green hair algae is being to greedy, byt that is also slowly dissipating, but i am sure it will be back next week when the ATI goes over it and gets hit with a whole lot more light

The pink stuff is some macro growing around the weeds, to think you pay for macro and you get weeds attached even if they are green and orange

haha rick, cleaning over 60ft a week of tanks mine is very neglected, (hence the selection ric's and zoa's) so as soon as i get rid of the green hair algae and it looks like more of a reef than a ADA planted tank, and i get my rock back (sold out at work so donated mine to the cause for a fellow country person) i will get some fts up

The 100L is a great lens.
You can always turn off your powerheads and use a tripod if you've had one too many coffee!

It was a little of each, the watchman used to try smash the lawnmower when ever he tried to clean around his home, but the lawn mower used to just look at him them go back to cleaning, but now they are good buddies and both sit and wait for breakfast together
