So have you got any ideas on stocking?
It's a large tank literage wise.
Good to see the progress!

I plan on transferring most of the stock from my current tank.
Haven't decided if the blue tang will go into the new tank yet though

Small update
Since I wanted to try and have a single light fitting, to illuminate the tank I have decided to get a ATI 10x39w powermodule .
While this will bump up my wattage from 210w to 400 w hopefully it will look better than trying to use my 3x ecolamps.
Am also pretty excited thinking of the colour options that the T5s will give me.
Have banged the stand together and will give it a coat of paint shortly
Still havent decided on how I am going to clad it yet. The 2 ideas I have are using 2 pac marine ply or using polycarbonate sheeting from bunnings

looks good mate. Cant go wrong with a 10bulb powermodule... beast! Might be biased of me since I'm going down the path but laminex MDF panels are pretty cost effective and look the goods, but you dont get the shine of 2pac.

Craig , Why not go a bit higher , 60 cms , Those powermodules put out heaps , Mine run on a 75 cm high tank , and they are hung 25 cms above the tank  , Otherwise you will be growing SPS in your sump :roflmao:

Thanks Dan,
I'm hoping I can have something as awesome as you guys eventually :crossfingers:

Went and picked up my ATI of Ben yesterday , crap it ways a ton  and of course made the mistake of starring straight into it and turning it on to see how bright it was :nut: Also a big thank to Ben for lending me a skimmer to use, durring the transfer period
Got the main plumbing parts put together, so now am pretty much waiting on the tank to be built

Got the cladding put on today. Apparently its much easier if the stand doesnt have a bit of a twist :wall:
Never said I was a carpenter I guess
So instead of being a quickish job, has taken a lot longer.
Ended up going with the laminated MDF panels

looks good Zee, why the change from LED to T5...was it only the look of the light unit itself?

Thanks  Trust me the cat nearly ended up shoved inside the skimmer today after it kept nicking of with my screws and clips. Best game ever apparently :furious: :wall:

kaiserkudo wrote:Cladding looks pretty shmick. Can't wait to see this one up and running

Hopefully once the tank arrives, I dont have the same problems that you have been getting hit with :bawling:

rodneyri wrote:looks good Zee, why the change from LED to T5...was it only the look of the light unit itself?

Was going to use the Ecolamps as they have been great on the old tank but wanted a single unit so went the ATI. Got a heap of tubes to play around with and am pretty excited with the colours that I can achieve.

Dan wrote:tell me you haven't ditched the ATB for a BM with feline pump!

Dont panic Dan . Its just a loner to use while I have both tanks going for a while. Defiantly not happy with the feline pump but Kate's pretty attached to it ,so it will have to stay :grump:

haha yeah I can imagine it adds to many nutrients to the tank when you feed it :pirate:

most of those tubes are quite old now so I wouldn't use them for to long before replacing. I donated them to Ben when they were about 10mths old and they originally came from Deester at the 2-3 month mark so they've been around the block :roflmao:
