I got a Flame Hawk yesterday and getting a Potters Angel or Flame Angel tomorrow.

Im thinking 24,000LPH of flow is abit much. Works out to be 52x.
What do you think?

My anemone seems to be getting blow by it and i cant move the powerhead to avoid it because its big. But it hasnt moved, And still extends as much as it can. Clowns seem to get blow away a little but find low flow spots in the nem and chill.
Let me know what you guys think.

Some great shots there. I especially love the extension on the Sun coral. You can really see why it is called a Sun coral. Some great shots of your fish too. Suprised that you dont have any comments yet as well.

I think that the clown in its home is a classic pic too.

No FTS though??

Nice tank you got there mate. How are you finding the carpet nem? I am looking at getting one around that size for my 4x2x2 but scared it will do more harm then good in the future. Would be good to know how well they go in a mixed reef.

Cheers,

Well, My nem is quite big. People that have seen on it always comment on how big it is, Fully open with no flow it gets to about 1ftx1ft, Maybe bigger. So yeah, Quite big.
I planned on getting a decent nem like that, So i made sure i had the right parameters, Right lighting and right flow for the spot i was going to place it. Also did some research on how the Stichodactyla Giganteas like to place there foot. After all that, I put the anemone in, It moved a little and now hasnt moved since, And i really dont think it will unless i move a powerhead or change lighting. And then i have left a little big of room so if it does deciede to move i can move corals/rocks.

Hope ive helped.

Water parameters just tested.

Salinity - 1.025
Temp - 26c
Nitrate - 0ppm
Phosphate - 0.33ppm (As seen above, On my API test kit it shows 0ppm. Now since i got my hanna last week i know how much they're out!! When i got it Wend, Tested and it was @ 0.75ppm! SPS didnt show any sign of colour loss or anything, They're gaining color! But went and got some PhosGaurd for now which has brang it down to where its at the moment, Over the next couple of days it should drop some more. But getting a FBF this week, Going to run RowaPhos or something similar to try get it down to about 0.06)
Calcium - 420ppm - Kalk top up
Alk - 8.5dkH - Kalk top up
Mag - Still need to get myself a test kit!

Thats the only update for now. Got some nice zoos this week but dont have a decent camera to take any shots. Getting a Cannon EOS 500D next month so hopefully some nice shots!
