Reefbuilder's Fish & Shrimp Cube

The purpose of this forum is to allow people to showcase their tanks, and allow other uses to ask questions on equipment, livestock, methodology etc.
Specifically for Diverse Tanks (Cubes, Squares, Triangular) (Fish Only with Live Rock, Predator Tanks, Temperate Tanks) (non-photosynthetic tanks, Marine Plant/Algae Tanks, Greenhouse Tanks)

Introduction:
This will be a basic FOWLR setup. Trying to setup a habitat for a few striking fish and a collection of Shrimps.

System Objectives: A healthy fish & Invertebrate Tank

System Type: FOWLR

Strike up Date: End of November 2010

Display Tank: 75 x 75 x 50 Starphire Cube

Display Lighting: Pacific Sun 75 Watt Controllable LED Unit

Stand: 110 cm high Black Pine Stand

Hood: Open Top

Support systems: Basic Zeovit

System Water: Natural salt water

Display Water circulation: Vortech MP 40 ES

Return Pump: Aquabee Up 3000

Skimmer: BM-NAC180-CS Cone Protein Skimmer

Evaporation Top Up:Auto topup ( TUNZE Osmoregulator 3155 )


Chemical Support: Zeo

Calcium Addition: If required

Alkilinity Addition: If required

Got the tank and stand yesterday, sitting in the garage for the time being, please pardon the mess, a few pics :

NICE stand :)
i like the clean look of the back too with the acrylic (?) piece!
Im interested in the lights too as i may look into a 2ft cube project next january.

Thanks mate, the back is an acrylic sheet, I had the grooves cut by a CNC router.

Me too Ben :devil: All I have decided at this stage is still general :

Anthias, Angel, Butterfly & Shrimps. Still have to finalize from the list provided by You, Stripes (Matt), Pebbles and others.

Wish I could make up my mind :nut:

You are right about the addiction mate, tried very hard but had to have a tank :clownfish: Thanks heaps for the offer, will call on You for a few frags of Your awesome colonies when I get back in the game in a couple of years :thumbsup:

Hey AB, just tripped over your thread tonight, i forgot about the other sections of the TJ area. Man you know how to build a tank, i'll keep an eye on it now that i've seen it.
ps. let me know when you need that rock to seed the tank, if you don't need it let me know and i'll offload it, all good :thumbsup:

No updates as yet, everything on hold as the baby has decided to give us a hard time and keep getting false alarms which has kept us busy, hopefully he will be here soon :baby:
