Introduction:
I've been pretty quiet on here for a long while, just collecting equipment and getting our new house built. There's only so many times you can move a tank from rental property to rental property without getting disheartened. Plus, I've been busy giving birth to a mini reefer, so between chasing her around and uni, tanks were just thrown on the back burner. Finally though, our new house build is underway (there's a slab, frame and bricks starting on the second story now) so hopefully by Christmas and the house and tank will be coming together.
Expect this to be a slow build until we finally move into our new house. Some of the most expensive stuff Imo is the equiptment needed, so in that regard I've almost got it all.
System Type:
Mixed reef - sps dominated
Display System:
Strike up Date:
Dec 2015, but I've been collecting equiptment for a few years now.

Custom 10 x 3.5(negotiable as I want it to sit between two windows) x 2 peninsular to separate lounge and dining room.
Display Lighting
2 x ATI hybrid with 8 54w t5s, 6 banks of LEDs.
Stand:
This I'm undecided on whether to go steel or wood. I've always had wood in the past and the tank builder I was talking to was saying wood will hold just fine, but I'm not completely convinced. Unfortunately I had no building skills whatsoever so advice on where to go to build a stand would be great.
Sump:
Dimension 6x3x2 pretty standard design... Skimmer/bio pellets.... Frag section, fuge, return
Support systems:
System Water:
Artificial Sea Water... Red Sea blue bucket...
Filtration:
NP All In One Biopellets

Maxspec Gyre x 2, wp60, wp40, and I'm in decided if to add my vortex have mp40wes x 2 or to sell them....

waveline dc10000

Vertex alpha 250
Evaporation Top Up:
Auto top up - RODI water
Controller:
GHL Profilux
Chemical Support:
GHL doser for some zeovit elements
Calcium reactor for alk/cal/mag - but this is another thing I'll need advice on as I've always felt setting it up seemed a bit daunting.
Livestock list:
Clown tang (boss of the tank I already own)
A few different clownfish species and some different anemones
Purple tang
School of yellow tangs
Pair of blue throat triggers
Harlequin tusk fish
Maybe a powder blue if I can get one nasty enough to stand its ground with the clown tang
Baby Picasso trigger (already have) and with their slow growth I'll be able to keep him a few years before he becomes a terror, then he'll go into the fowlr tank.
Baby Koran angel, who will be going into the fowlr after the house move. Why are coral eaters so cute?
Several blue tangs to break up aggression shown by clown tang towards my present blue tang (who's currently kicking the clown tangs ass, but assuming that'll change with age)
Lipstick tang
Vlamingi tang
Couple of dwarf Angels, really want some potters but am not sure if the clown tang will bother them.
Majestic angel
Group of royal grammas
Group of anthias, blue eyed cardinals, chromis
Six line wrasse
Harem of filamented flasher wrasses
And some other random smaller fish I haven't really decided on yet. Figured I've got a lot of space to fill up.
I've already accepted my inverts fate with triggers and tusk fish (probably add some hawkish as well) and will only be having snails which I'll breed in the sump and replace as needed.
