Okay sorry for the tardiness of my replies.

Tank is homne finally couple of occasions it nearly didnt make it LOL, so everything went on hold while i was searching for a stand builder. Eventually i got onto a guy that built the stand for a reasonable price. This weekend 1st April to be precise i have arranged few of my fellow MASWA member to some around and help me lift the tank inside and up into its place. The the fun starts with the plumbing. I should have some pics up very soon of the stand and its placement inside with the tank.

Current fish list is
Blue tang
Orange shoulder tang
two percula clowns ( Thinking about selling and getting 2 x picaso clowns)
6 line wrasse
1 x coral banded shrimp
4 peppermint shrimp

Wish list
blenny or two
desjardini sailfin tang
a koran angel
trigger of some sort

Thansk steve,

Pm me you availability and ill wait for you. I have kept it pretty simple I have gone with your original idea to use the two back overflows and turn them into inlets, I have plugged the side OLD inlet. I brought two one way valves to go into the new inlets so the tank wont drain if i have a power outage.

I want to plumb everything through the predrilled holes in the sump like you mentioned too however only problem I have now is I am using the sump and smaller side tank to store all my corals and fish LMAO so final setup will have to be quick LOL

Hoping to have everything in it by May

Yeah mate will do.

Give me a few days and I will get a PM back to you.

Siphon breaks maybe better then one way valves which tend to not really prevent one way flow after a period of time.

Cheers

Justin that sucks mate but while you are at it get the bottom of the tank strapped I always meant to get this done but never got around to it and now would be the best time to get it done it will add another layer of safety to the system.

Hi,
Just a quick post. Picking up the new panel and bracing from Vebas aquariums this Saturday. So hopefully in the next 6 days everything will be put in place and patched up, when it is I will post some more pics.
Fingers crossed we can get it all siliconed in on my time off, then the long wait begins for it to cure. I am off to Sydney in May so upon my return I am hoping we can add some freshwater for a test and maybe plumb everything up?
:wavey:

Hey hey Justin you must be happy with the repairs. It looks like you have added some Euro bracing so it should be a bullet proof tank now. The 4 orpheks will keep it very well lit, I think my tank is the right depth for 2 156's and its 75cm deep.

Well on the weekend Rob came around and finished the tank by cleaning all the silicone up, Tank looks brand new again......got bored today sitting at home and thought bugger it might start plumbing this sucker since I am hosting a MASWA meeting on the 27th May. (Sorry Steve I know I said I was going to wait for you!!) I promised the MASWA committee something for everyone to look at so another reason to pull my finger out lol. Dennis is booked to come on the 19 or 20th May to fill up so fingers crossed my freshwater test will be okay prior to that.
I changed my drawing below too as I came to the realisation that water would not flow through my reactors enough on just pure gravity alone so plumbed in a Vv station on the return side of my Pump. For the start I will be using a 8000lph Sicce Pump which tapped off should provide around 6500 to the tank and rest to the reactors. Fingers crossed will work???? Oh i only have the 40mm Drains to plunb however i have to remove the fug?dsb to drill a whole in the side so it will drain from that straight into the sump.

Ok enough chat time for some photos.

Interesting dimensions. i am keen to see what you come up with for the aquascape as you should have more options with the depth and length
