pretty sure the stand will not be opened. the plumbing and such go outside to the sump under the house.
But I could be wrong...heaps of space under that thing!!

very impressive stand all the same, and good tank sizE!!!

Yep there is no plumbing inside the stand. I have added a small door on one side with some shelves etc for storage.

Well the DT is finally wet. Just a few leaks out of the bulkheads on the weir. I should be getting some live rock on wed or thurs if the weather stays good in cairns. Looking forward to some aquascaping

Yep I am looking forward to the aquascaping. I hope it will turn out like I have it pictured in my mind. I will try and keep it open, hopefully with a nice valley effect.
I have 2 mp60 and 2 mp 40. I tried them all out today. The mp60's are great but the back glass with black perspex attached is too thick at the moment for my mp40's. I cant get the to run, as the wet end just falls off once the power is connected. :furious:
I didnt want to have any pumps on the sides as It will be viewable from 3 sides.

Well I have done my aquascaping today. I am happy with most of it, although i'm sure I will be changing bits and pieces over the next few days. I also managed to get my light stand and one of the lights up. Now I just need a decent camera to take better shots. I couldnt get a good picture of the side view but I built 3 bommies on one side

Are you planning to keep them, I have read they can be little bulldozers. But on a tank your size they should not be too much of a problem. Found anything else other than the urchins?

Yep I will let them stay. They are quite small at the moment so they are no trouble. I will definately need to glue my frags down though. I got heaps of coral, sponges, brittle stars, a few normal sea urchins, lots of different algae and the usual crabs etc. The rock was awesome actually. I would recommend getting it delivered striaght from the collector and pick up from the airport as the rock is very fresh and not much die off.

I wanted a different stand from others I have had. It was pretty pricey in the end but it is woth it as it looks like a nice piece of furniture that fits with the rest of the house. Keeps the wife happy anyway.

Sounds like a good idea, I'll keep it in mind if I move up to a larger tank.

Have you found any hitchhikers that your going to need to remove?

I've got a bad feeling I might have a small mantis schrimp in my tank, as I keep hearing clicking noises every now and then. At first I thought it might be the sound of a hermit crabs shell knocking against the glass, but the sound is different to that.
