well we finally have all the lights up and running , just wondering ? i have 16 54w 2000k blue atanics running for 12 hrs and 8 400w mh running for 4 hrs , they come on slowly ver the day and turn off the same way.
to look at it is a very gentle increase in light reaching a full light for 2 hrs then going down. but is this a long enough time.

If you are going to keep a range of corals, the 400's should be on for at least 8 hours.

the return plumbing has all been changed to larger size pipes and inlets to increase turnover and just one big pump instead of three. i am now still battling high phos but also have some issues with the school of blue tangs a couple of them have started to nip at the corals and clams.
