2010 breeders challenge poll take 2- please vote

Postby damer » Tue 12 Jan, 2010 9:15 am

after popular demand, here is a new poll. i have combined the option for "fang blennies"

these have been taken from another thread, and i added assessors as i didnt think of them and think they would also be good.

PLEASE

1) only vote if you are genuinely interested in participating, no matter what the outcome is. if you are not going to participate if a certain species doesnt get over the line, then please dont vote. (edit: if the winning species is totally unsuitable for your tank, im sure people wont feel bad towards you not going ahead)

2) only vote if you are prepared to copy any information onto MOFIB, especially success stories

3) take into consideration ability to get broodstock

4) take into consideration some species are not that easy to get to spawn.

could everyone reply with a "voted" post so we know who is prepared to participate. and dont vote just because you can.

everyone really needs to think about it before voting.

take the following into consideration-

seahorses- really need their own tank
pipefish- maybe a bit harder to do. MOFIB are doing the "dragon faced" for those interested.
clownfish- can take AGES to get them to spawn if they do at all.
assessors- maybe a bit hard to pair up but apparently easy enough to raise
striped fang blenny- they are ugly ;) :roflmao:

any problems, questions etc, let me know.

Damien

Voted for Fang Blennies.

I'm happy to help out with broodstock also, no matter what the final choice is.

again we have more votes than people posting.

im almost at the stage of making it not hidden ie, everyone votes but then posts who they voted for and only thay is taken into consideration.

I agree. That way there wont be an unequal amount of votes or people just voting and not stating they placed a vote.

Ive placed my vote for fang blennies as Im already dabbling with breeding seahorses and last night discovered my pipefish is carrying its first set of eggs. :D

I voted. Do I have to say what I voted for or can I just say I voted?

Grats on the pipes Chantelle :) What species of pipes? Sorry to OT. You can send me a PM if you like :)

I am trying to work out my setup at the moment but is the plan to request LFS support for broodstock this year?
