Minor nit pick people, you NEVER capitalise the species name, only the genus

no worries Chris, but this will be in all the challenges i organise. i assume you didnt vote, so my above post isnt aimed at you.

MOFIB is a worldwide organisation and is the premier site for breeding information. if we can crack something that helps others and it is put on MOFIB then we will be able to help breeders worldwide and even establish Aus as a having a number of people involved in break through species.

breeding information on RTAW is tiny compared to other sites, lets change that and make people around the world aware we are having a go.

Unrelated in a large way, but I felt like venting how it is a pain to think that we really only hope to get knowledge from some of the pioneering stuff that has been done in the US. And then try and do it from scratch ourselves without the advantage of having some of their captive bred livestock.

Damien,

I havent made any fish purchases yet, I am however working on some new tanks and hopefully this will allow me to jump in, in a meaningful way in a month or so, also have to find some acro skeletons to make ti work a bit better.

Saltydog, I think part of the motivations for damiens statement are that the information gained in this effort is wisely placed in a global information resource like MOFIB. Without somewhere like MOFIB we wouldnt have as much info as we do, Luis lives in argentina, imagine if his info was in his native tongue on a argentine website?

Yeah I voted, just read the instructions last. I would disagree with a lot as to why the clause is there, but I'm not here to argue the point, the reply was to only answer your original query on why others hadn't started who voted.

anyone having any luck, even a little?

i have had a few but cant even get them to make it to starting a log.

i found one in my refugium/frag tank though, its very skinny but must be eating as i have had it for months.

My citrinus got seperated as one was over dominating the other, I know Witts book mentions feeding black worms to get them breeding fast to stop this.

I have a bunch (10) of the black ones so will seperate them and try some more.

Only bought one pair, G.Okinawae, I know sex goes both ways but bought one small and one large hoping that if they were M/F from the start they may settle in better.

No real fighting, the larger took residence in one of two small staghorn acro the other remaining on the bottom. Bought a small acro table after four weeks which the smaller one took up residence in with the larger one slowing joining the smaller after a couple days. Have since removed the table and both seem happy and paired.

Feed prawn, flathead roe and enriched nhbb.

Bare 180l tank two perc's, three potter's, a long spine urchin and assorted snails, three small acro's and 2kg of LR

Those with pairs of Gobiodon Okinawae is there any thoughts on the white patch on the cheek? I notice one has it and one doesn't.
