A few new pics of the eggs and their development. These are seperate eggs, one looks like there is no or little development, the rest show a range. Approx 20 hours post spawn.

How are you tracking with all of this, Darren?

Re: CaptCrash Breeding - Lots of pairs for sale

Postby CaptCrash » Tue 08 Mar, 2016 11:02 pm

With an upcoming move of house, I need to sell off my breeding pairs of fish, shrimp, tanks etc.
If you are looking for breeding pairs please let me know.

Please do keep in mind, these are good breeding pairs, not just two fish who have been introduced together. As such I am looking for a fair price for the breeding pairs.
I do have some single fish that I am willing to sell at regular rates as well.
With everything feel free to make an offer if what I am asking is not reasonable.

In terms of laying/hatching of fry, I turned down the temps on my tanks in Feb, so laying has reduced most of the fish are still laying but not as often.

The following are all available

Laying on a very regular cycle (every 14 -20 days), all have laid in the last two weeks
3 pairs x Amphiprion percale, (Percula Clownfish), $200 per pair, 1 pair sold, 2 pairs remaining
2 pairs x Amphiprion ocellaris (Ocellaris Clownfish), $200 per pair
1 pair x Amphiprion ocellaris (Picasso patterned), $250 per pair
1 pair x Amphiprion frenatus (Tomato Clownfish), $200 per pair
1 pair x Amphiprion rubrocinctus (Red Clownfish), $200 per pair
1 pair x Pictichromis diadema (Diadema Dottyback), $100 per pair
1 Pair x Premnas biaculeatus (White Stripe Maroon Clownfish), $200 per pair
1 Pair x Stenopus hispidus (Coral Banded Shrimp), $100 per pair
6 x Lysmata vitatta (Peppermint Shrimp), $100 for the group

Laying intermittently all have laid since Feb
1 pair x Amphiprion ephippium (Fire Clownfish), $200 per pair
1 Pair x Premnas biaculeatus (Gold Stripped Maroon Clownfish), $200 per pair
1 pair x Amphiprion polymnus (Saddleback Clownfish), $200 per pair

Laying Occasionally
1 pair x Amphiprion akindynos (Barrier Reef Clownfish / Brown clown), $100 per pair
1 pair x Amphiprion ocellaris (Platinum Clownfish - all white), $600 per pair
1 pair x Amphiprion ocellaris - Darwin Black (Black and White Clownfish), $200 per pair

Single fish and shrimp
1 x Amphiprion mccullochi McCullochi Clownfish, $500
1 x Manonichthys splendent Splendid Dottyback, $40 (sold)
1 x Amphiprion ocellaris "Panda" colour variation, $20
1 x Hymenocera picta Harlequin Shrimp, $400
1 x Amphiprion akindynos (Barrier Reef Clownfish / Brown clown), $20
1 x Amphiprion ocellaris (Domino Clownfish - all black with white dot), $300

I also have a large range of tanks available for sale.
Most if not all have been drilled and would be suitable as a sump or quarantine tank.
In terms of pricing, I am happy to negotiate on price depending on condition and number required. Most would be $10-20 each

Sizes range as follows

Qty L x W x H
1 x 3 x 2 x 2
8 x 3 x 1 x 1.5
24 x 2 x 1 x 1.5
1 x 7 x 1.5 x 1
6 x 2 x 2 x 1.5
1 x 5 x 2 x 1
2 x 4 x 1.5 x 1

Several multi-level tank stands are also available to hold the various sized tanks (1 x 8 tanks, 1 x 10 tanks, 1 x 8 tanks, 1 x 3 tanks, 1 x 6 tanks).
These are mostly wooden stands and very solid.

Also to be listed in the future will be the following once I collect full details

2 x Return pumps (10k-12k lph)
15 x Heaters ahem 300w, $25
10 x Heaters 50w, $20
10 x Heaters 25w, $20
4 x Protein Skimmers approx 1500l rated
3 x Chillers (500l, 1000l and 2000l rated)
2 x Turbos Algae Turf Scrubbers, 1 sold, 1 available $250

Approx. 400Kg of Live rock and/or dry rock, 100Kg available now from $5/Kg
Bio Balls for large volume filtration approx 40Kg

Good luck man. Just know that many of us REALLY appreciated and loved your effort!

Will you have a tank in your new place (Even if only display and not breeding)

I haven't descided as yet, the current 8' display may come with me or I may shut it down as well. Not really sure. I'll probably keep a tank of some sort though.

Well after a few years of no fish, no display tank no nothing, there has been a restart.

For the last couple of months I have had a big group of Banggai Cardinalfish and as of today a batch of peppermint shrimp.
So with any luck I can get these guys all breeding reliably and regularly over the next few months and once again add to the captive bred fish population locally.
