Species tolerance records

  • Gramma melacara - 4.5cm TL, static 1L hydrogen peroxide bath: 45ppm for 15min increased to 60ppm for a further 45min. bath temp 25-26 deg C. Behaviour, laying down every couple minutes, resumed normal swimming upon agitation. Normal behavior and eating 48h later.
  • Gramma loreto - 3.5cm TL, static 1L hydrogen peroxide bath: 45ppm for 15min increased to 60ppm for a further 45min. bath temp 25-26 deg C. Behaviour, normal. Normal behavior and eating 48h later.
  • Gramma melacara - 6.0cm TL, static 1L hydrogen peroxide bath: 45ppm for 10min increased to 75ppm for a further 30min. bath temp 25-26 deg C. Behaviour, normal. Normal behavior and eating 48h later.
  • Gramma loreto - 5.5cm TL, static 1L hydrogen peroxide bath: 45ppm for 10min increased to 75ppm for a further 30min. bath temp 25-26 deg C. Behaviour, normal. Normal behavior and eating 48h later.

  • Pterapogon kauderni - 4.0cm TL, static 1L hydrogen peroxide bath: 90ppm for 40min. bath temp 25-26 deg C. Behaviour, normal. Normal behavior and eating 48hrs later.
  • Pterapogon kauderni - 4.5.0cm TL, static 1L hydrogen peroxide bath: 90ppm for 40min. bath temp 25-26 deg C. Behaviour, normal. Normal behavior and eating 48hrs later.

  • Mugil cephalus (Sea Mullet) - 8cm TL, static 500ml Hydrogen Peroxide Bath: 100ppm for 30min. Temp 27 deg C. Behaviour: no signs of stress. Fed to P.Volitans after treatment. The Hydrogen Peroxide is employed as a precautionary measure to disinfect feeder fish fed to a Lionfish within a Display Tank.
  • Penaeus merguiensis (Banana Prawn) - 10cm TL, static 500ml Hydrogen Peroxide Bath: 100ppm for 30min. Temp 27 deg C. Behaviour: no signs of stress. Fed to P.Volitans after treatment. The Hydrogen Peroxide is employed as a precautionary measure to disinfect feeder prawns fed to a Lionfish within a Display Tank.
