Aerobic
In aerobic cellular respiration, for every molecule of glucose respired, 24 electrons travel down the respiratory chain to the final acceptor: oxygen molecules.
The overall reaction for the aerobic respiration of glucose with oxygen to water and carbon dioxide is:
