Definitions:

• Pest - an injurious or unwanted organism.
• Disease - an abnormal condition of an organism that impairs bodily functions, associated with specific symptoms and signs. May be caused by both external (invading organisms) and internal factors (internal dysfunctions).
• Parasite - organism that takes favour from the host, sometimes for a prolonged length of time. The interaction reduces the fitness of the host and increases the fitness of the parasite by exploiting the host for food, habitat and dispersal.
