Introduction

A non-infectious condition that cannot be transmitted between fish.

Causes

Gas supersaturation of system water. Particularly an issue for deep water fish as they are transported to the surface. However, can occur in an aquarium as well.

Symptoms

Large external gas filled bubbles that are easily visible to the eye. Typically located around / in the eye and fin margins. May cause buoyancy issues for the fish effected.
