It is the overall look and impression of the aquarium, viewed from a couple of metres away. Simply put, the WOW factor. Condition of Inhabitants - score = 25 General health, growth and condition of fish, corals and other invertebrates living in the aquarium. Aquascaping - score = 25 Construction of the reef, placement of corals giving a natural and interesting aquarium to behold, and providing sufficient, appropriate habitats for the inhabitants to live in. Equipment Set Up - score = 20 Based on the ability to reduce the visual impact of equipment used in maintaining the aquarium e.g. hiding cords, pumps, filtration etc. Also the ingenuity used in the construction of the aquarium and the support systems utilised are considered. This does not equate expensive/elaborate equipment to being the best, the simplest/cheaper alternative may be more elegant. Total: 100 |
